About

Built for groups that operate in more than one country.

IT Partner has worked with Microsoft since 2006 and moved into the cloud in 2010, when it was still called Business Productivity Online Suite. The international locations exist for one reason: groups with entities in several countries need one partner who can contract with all of them, merge the tenants when the next acquisition lands, and invoice each entity in its own currency. Most Microsoft partners are excellent in one country. We are built for the companies that are not in one country.

What we do

Licensing is the door. Engineering is the reason people stay.

Most Microsoft resellers sell a subscription and send an invoice once a year. They never log into the tenant, and when something breaks there is nobody who knows the estate.

We work the other way round. The engineers who migrate your mailboxes are the same people who hold your licensing, which means there is no handover, no ticket queue between two companies, and nobody to blame. Our clients are billed for engineering hours as well as subscriptions, because the subscriptions are a consequence of the relationship rather than the point of it.

That is also why our service list has eleven items rather than three hundred. Everything we publish is work we have delivered and can show numbers for. If a service is not on the list, we do not sell it, and we will tell you who does.

How we are set up

One organisation, many locations

IT Partner is a single Microsoft partner organisation. Our headquarters is in the United States, and our other locations sit in Estonia, the UAE, Australia, Canada and Hong Kong. Which one is yours follows the country set in your tenant. One brand, one partner programme, one engineering practice — and a local invoice wherever you are.

Why the locations exist

Microsoft's Cloud Solution Provider programme is regional. A partner authorised in one region can only sell into that region's country list, which is why most resellers can invoice in exactly one country. Our locations hold authorisations covering 131 between them, each billed in the currency Microsoft sets for it.

Headquarters in the United States

IT Partner LLC, at o365hq.com, is our headquarters location and holds the US authorisation. If you are a US business, that is where your enquiry belongs, and we will point you there rather than take it ourselves.

One engineering practice behind all of it

Complex delivery draws on the same engineers regardless of which location holds the contract. That is how a client in the UK gets work done by people who have run the same migration forty times, rather than by whoever happens to be local.

1,100+ organisations under management

That is the figure across the whole organisation, and most of it sits with our US headquarters, which has been running Microsoft estates for American clients since 2006. The international locations are younger and smaller. We publish the network number because it is the honest measure of the engineering practice behind your project — and we say where it comes from, because a number without that context is just a bigger number.

Six locations, four public profiles today

Each location has its own Microsoft Partner ID and its own profile on Microsoft Partner Finder, published by Microsoft rather than by us. We would rather you verified us before the first call than took our word for it. The facts are also stated plainly, without the marketing, on a page written for AI assistants and researchers.

Microsoft EMEA Operations Online Service Advisor Excellence Award Winner 2014 Alex Makey receiving the award from James O’Connor, then General Manager, Microsoft EMEA Operations
The award reads “Microsoft EMEA Operations Online Service Advisor Excellence Award Winner 2014”. Below it, Alex Makey receiving it from James O’Connor — then General Manager, Microsoft EMEA Operations; today Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Operations Service Center — who announced it publicly in March 2015 as the Area Operations Excellence Partner of the Year. Same award: awarded for 2014, presented and announced in 2015.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce that IT Partner LLC has been chosen as this year’s recipient of the Microsoft Area Operations Excellence Partner of the Year Award, in recognition of their exceptional technical expertise with Microsoft Office 365 cloud services and the Microsoft Azure platform, as well as their customer support efforts to drive up adoption.”

Awarded to the US headquarters entity for 2014 and presented in 2015. It predates the Solutions Partner programme, and we list it as history rather than as a current status — but a Microsoft vice president putting his name to a partner in public is rarer than any badge.

Every Gold Certified Partner plaque, 2006 to 2014

Microsoft sent one for each year of Gold status until it stopped sending plaques in 2014. The programme itself was retired in 2022; these are history, and the four current designations are the present. Click any to enlarge.

How we work

Four things we will not do

We will not claim 24/7. Our cover is 07:00 to 01:00 UTC on business days, about eighteen hours. Most small resellers offer eight. Claiming round-the-clock support we do not have would last exactly until the first night-time incident.

We will not promise a restoration time. A large share of Microsoft 365 incidents are resolved on Microsoft’s side. We commit to a four-hour first response, two for critical incidents, and to keeping you informed until it is fixed — not to a number we do not control.

We will not quote for work we have not done. There are Microsoft products we can sell you a licence for but have never deployed. When you ask, we say so and point you to someone who has.

We will not hide the slow parts. Microsoft caps concurrent mailbox migrations at twenty. Large personal archives can take months on their own. Both come up at kick-off, not in month five.

No charge, no obligation

Thirty minutes with the person who runs the project

I take the first calls myself — not a sales rep and not a qualification form. A conversation about what you have, what is in the way, and whether we are the right people for it. If we are not, I will tell you.
